SOMS Agri-Journalism Award 2026
Does your pen tell the story of the soil?
Writers who bring forth stories born in the soil — who highlight farmers’ pain, progress, and innovation — will now be honored on a national platform. For the first time in India, the Soluble Fertilizer Industry Association (SFIA) presents the SOMS Agricultural Journalism Award as part of the SOMS Conference & Exhibition.
Selection Process
Stage 1: Portfolio Submission
Deadline: May 30, 2026
Participants must submit their name, designation, media organization, and 3 to 5 best
works published under their name from the following:
- For Print Media: Scanned copies or PDFs of 3 best published articles/reports to be sent to soms25@sfia.co.in
- For Digital Media: Published web links to articles or reports.
- For Broadcast Media: YouTube or valid video links to video reports/documentaries.
All entries must be published under the applicant journalist's name.
Entries will be evaluated by a reputed and independent jury panel.
Two journalists from each category will be selected and invited to participate in the
next stage and present at the SOMS conference stage.
SOMS Agri – Journalism Award 2026
Stage 2: Agriculture-Focused Assignment
30 days before the SOMS conference, selected participants will be given a specific
agricultural topic.
Journalists will create a report, podcast, or video on the topic showcasing their
perspective, analysis, and presentation skills.
Stage 3: On-Stage Presentation
These reports will become part of the key discussions at the SOMS conference and will
be presented in front of experts, innovators, and senior journalists.
Final winners will be announced on stage at the conference.
